NBR O-RİNG

NBR O-Ring (Nitrile) is the most widely used elastomer in the seal industry, and commonly used in o-ring and sealing applications. The popularity of nitrile is due to its excellent resistance to petroleum products and its ability to be compounded for service over a temperature range of -22°F to 212°F. Nitrile provides excellent compression set, tear, and abrasion resistance.

The base of these elastomers is rubber. This can be “natural” when it comes from plantations or “synthetic” when it comes from the chemical industry.

The nitrile o-ring is commonly referred to as a Buna o-ring, or NBR o-rings. Kalıcı Conta offers a complete selection of both the standard AS568 o-ring and metric o-ring sizes.

More information about NBR Orings: In the o-rings, acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) is the most common material due to its good mechanical properties, its high resistance to abrasion, its low gas permeability and high resistance to oils and greases based on oils minerals. NBR is a copolymer of butadiene and acrylonitrile. Depending on the application, the content of acrylonitrile can vary between 18% and 50%.
